Hey All,

For anyone who was in Perth yesterday, I’m sure you will all remember this storm for many years to come, we were hit by a bit of a freak storm that had high winds, lots of hail and even more rain! I decided (like an idiot) to head out in the storm and take some photos.. Well I ended up staying up all night trying to get some lightning photos.. and it was well and truely worth my effort! I’ve included the photos at the end of this post, these photos have been used in WA Today (cover photo), The West and several other publications (some with out permission) and ended up going into a chaim email that got emailed all around the world!

I thought I’d share the photos with my Studio clients too :)

Prints of some of these are availabe at: http://www.redbubble.com/people/paulmp/art

I hope everyone fared well through the storm!

Regards

Paul Pichugin

Stunning pics! I want to buy them all. Wish I had the money for all of them and the largest size!

Came across your website while doing a search for pictures taken during the storm.

    GREAT photos!! :)

I like the sense of satisfaction I achieved when I get to capture some nice photos too.

Paul, what absolutely fantastic photos of the storm and the sunset which followed. Like you, I was out and about snapping that amazing light show after the storm passed! You have really captured the dark beauty of the heavenly fireworks – well done!

Paul – fantastic work albeit not the most sensible thing to do walking out into a lightning storm. Your efforts truly paid off (though looks as a few have taken your work without permission)

    These are phenomenal. Great work.

I’m always too scared to shoot lightning. I love the visual intensity though. :)
